Tracy Heather Strain, co-founder and president of The Film Posse, is a director, writer and producer of documentaries and non-fiction media projects for screens large and small, specializing in stories of America’s past. She is the director and writer of "Sighted Eyes/Feeling Heart," the first feature biographical documentary about Lorraine Hansberry, the playwright best known for the ground-breaking hit A Raisin in the Sun. Strain produced the documentary independently with her partner/husband Randall MacLowry, who also served as an editor of the film. It made its world premiere at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, and in January, the PBS series American Masters debuted the Hansberry biography on U.S. television as "Lorraine Hansberry: Sighted Eyes/Feeling Heart."
